It’s hard to keep up sometimes, especially when you’re not sleeping. I’m exhausted all day, but I’m trying to sleep and failing (or getting, quite possibly, the worst sleep of all time) each night. I might be turning into a walking zombie. Get your shotguns ready…
But, gratitude is gratitude, and there are many things of which I am thankful. Here are my top five this week:
I miss you so much, sleep. You’re everything to meet. I’ve changed. I swear. Come back.
Being that I live in the theme park capital of the world (if it’s not, it should be), I can see fireworks on any given night and I just LOVE that. Fireworks are so incredibly beautiful (and then, add on being put to music… *cue waterworks*) There is nothing I enjoy more than having a glass of wine, listening to some sappy Disney tunes and watching colorful pyrotechnics explode over me.
#3 DARK, RAINY MORNINGS
The other day, I woke up to the most incredible rain storm. I didn’t get out of bed for hours. There is nothing I enjoy more than drifting in and out of consciousness when it rains out. It’s even better when you can do this drifting next to someone else.
#4 WILL & GRACE
Hot damn, am I happy this show is back on the air. I loved this show back in the 90s and I can’t believe I’m saying this, but it’s gotten even more funny the second time around. Definitely, the characters of Will and Grace have gotten so funny that they compete with two of my favorite characters ever, Jack and Karen. This past episode, with my other favorite man, Nick Offerman (who doesn’t love Ron Swanson??) – let me just say, the story line with Will, Grace and Nick’s character, Jack, nearly made me spit take my La Croix. It’s gooooood. If you haven’t watched the reboot, you really should… #eskimosisters
Yes, yoga, I’m thankful for you. From my sun salutations in the AM to my yoga nidra before bed, my everyday is bookended by my yoga practice. I don’t know what I would do without it… oh wait, yes I do. I would be a hot mess. A blithering, hot ass mess. I owe the majority of my sanity to my yoga practice and it continues to be a non-negotiable.
So, there you have it… my top 5 things that I’m grateful for in this moment.
But, I tell you what… there are so many more things to be grateful for…
